(Mother http://www.namsouth.com/viewtopic.php?t=49/viewtopic.php?t=49&mforum=brocktownsend would be so happy to have her father's stirring *words etched forever in the granite on which our heroes once stood. Dixie and I shall be there with bells on! Stan Clardy will entertain also. He performed once at Dixie's birthday party at "Dixieland." BT)

Whitehall Confederate Memorial Park
Budd Fields Rd. Seven Springs NC (Whitehall)
Dedication service December 13, 2008 at 11:00am

You and Your family are cordially invited to attend a dedication service for the 13 CSA Soldiers killed at the battle of Whitehall on December 15 and 16 1862. This dedication service is also for the 90 CSA Sailors of the CSS Ram Neuse built at Whitehall.

This project would not have been possible without the dozens of volunteers that have given the land, their time and money, labor and materials for our CSA ancestors, that gave their lives and family, to fight against tyranny in the War of Northern Aggression 1861-1865.

This Confederate Memorial Park now belongs to the National Sons of Confederate Veterans. The SCV has given $3,700.00 for improvements on this property. Combined land, labor and materials donated total $12,000.00.

The granite marker was donated by members of the Edmund Ruffin Fire Eaters Camp # 3000, Virginia Division SCV. This stone was once a floor support from the Richmond, Virginia Theatre built in 1812.

Stan & Cathy Clardy will be performing! http://www.stanclardy.com

You are invited to eat with Us after the dedication. Bring a chair!

Confederate Regards,
Dan Boyette

Click on http://www.revlacyscv.org & http://home.comcast.net/~johnonline839/Lacy/ColorGuard.html . This is the color guard that is going to represent the Virginia Division at Whitehall Confederate Memorial Park. The Camp Commander is also the Virginia Division Commander. We are very fortunate to have these men at our event!
